FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa has called for team work in the Cranes squad. He urged the national team players to 'die a little' for the country.

Speaking at a send-off luncheon for the team at Imperial Resort Beach Hotel in Entebbe, Mulindwa asked the players to sacrifice for victory in the regional tournament. The team departed yesterday for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

“Give the tournament 100% plus. Die a little for your nation and at the end of the day, we shall come back victorious,” mulindwa advised the players, before handing over the national flag to acting team captain Lawrence Segawa.

The federation boss called on the players to take every game as a final and approach it with team work. “You should also follow the instructions of the technical bench and be disciplined.”

Chris Kalibbala, who has been in football administration for 20 years and a leader for delegation for a CECAFA team for eight times was happy about the team’s preparation.

“It is the first time the team is going to a tournament with all the players’ allowances paid up and all the necessary drugs and accessories available,” said Kalibbala.
