THE Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) will launch the party membership cards on Saturday.

“FDC is planning to go ahead with the launch of party cards. The national launch is planned for December 9. We are undeterred and committed to selling the party cards,” secretary general Alice Alaso said on Sunday.

She did not disclose the venue for the function that will be held in Kampala, saying they were still looking for one but added that it will be in the heart of the city.

She said they would notify the Police about the function that will be presided over by party chief Col. Kizza Besigye.
Besigye is also expected to preside over similar functions in Soroti, Katakwi and Jinja this month.

The Police blocked a similar function that was scheduled to take place at the constitution Square recently, citing security fears by the business community.

She attacked Kampala Central Division chief Godfrey Nyakaana for barring parties from holding meetings at the Constitution Square.

Alaso, who is also the Soroti Woman Member of parliament, asked the government to involve all stakeholders in the Juba peace talks with the LRA rebels.
