THE Pan African Inter-Action Leadership Conference held in Uganda last week, was as much about fun as about nurturing leaders.
Tennis balls, toys, crafts and dance featured prominently on the British Council supported programme, aimed at making the young leaders appreciate their diversities.
About 200 participants from 19 African countries attended the event, partially held in the Botanical Beach Hotel in Entebbe but with a closing dinner at Sheraton Hotel on Wednesday.
During the dinner, the young leaders launched Inter-Action Association of Uganda (ILAU) as a country chapter of the Pan African Network of Leaders (PANeL).
Garvase Ndyanabo, The New Vision company secretary, is chairperson of ILAU. Former Uganda Small Scale Entrepreneurs Association chairperson, Sarah Kitakule, was chief guest.
