WILLIAM Kibuka Musoke is the new general manager of Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

The cricketer and captain of Tornado B Cricket Club took office on Friday. He becomes the third manager of the sports complex, constructed under a Chinese soft loan, a decade ago.

Balamaze Lwanga and Winston Mwine are the other personalities who have held that office. Ignatius Kagongi has been acting manager.

Kagongi took over office after Mwine resigned to try his luck in politics.

Kibuka Musoke was appointed together with a new marketing manager James Martin Wamaniala and facilities operations manager Nelson Karake.

The trio was appointed after successful interviews carried out by PricewaterhouseCoopers. They were also interviewed by the Namboole board, before their confirmation to office.

Kagongi confirmed the appointments, though he could not give any details.

All the three were on Friday introduced to the complex workers, who they addressed and called for cooperation and team work.
