If you thought Betty Nakibuuka was only good at singing gospel music, think again. Nakibuuka also displays remarkable business acumen. The songstress recently opened up a boutique, Betty Nakibuuka Fashions, on Zainabau Aziiza Emporium.

To stress her point, she even put the photograph that appeared on her last CD cover on the signpost of the shop, just in case you have seen her on TV or in newspapers, but weren’t sure who she was.
As you might expect, there is also a photo of her famous singing daughter, baby Gloria. A peek inside reveals a repertoire of goods ranging from ladies’ and children’s clothes imported from Thailand, Hong Kong and China.
The shop, which also works as a booking office for the singer, has all Nakibuuka’s music, both video, audio and a range of local gospel music for sale. But snoops tell us that Nakibuuka, who is heavy, rarely gets behind the counter, relegating everything to her more energetic accountant.
