THE German Development Services on Saturday commissioned projects worth sh760m for internally displaced people in Adjumani district.

The programme coordinator, Adi Gestl, said the projects would strengthen the district’s capacity to support the displaced population.

A general ward and a laboratory were constructed at Dzaipi Health Centre.
Ajugopi and Dzaipi health centres were also equipped.

Nine schools got latrines, whereas Ogolo, Etiya and Maasa primary schools received classrooms and 50 desks each.

The German Development Services also distributed 382 cartons of sanitary towels to students in secondary schools.
Gestl said the projects were meant to benefit displaced people and host communities without discrimination.

The LC5 chairman, Mark Dulu, commended the organisation for aiding the communities.

The project is funded by the German ministry of economic corporation and development.
