Lalani, Winnie under one roof
If anybody thought that Roofings supremo, Sikander Lalani’s five-year romance with former Miss Uganda aspirant Winnie Abotile, would go to the dogs, they were wrong. For on Saturday, Winnie became Mrs. Lalani at the Lions Centre, Sheraton Hotel.

At the lavish reception at Speke Resort Munyonyo, Winnie pulled a rare stroke never seen before at weddings; she went on her knees before her husband and promised to love him with all her heart. With their young son, Ryan, looking on, Lalani patted Winnie on the back and followed it up with a gentle kiss on her cheek. All this took place in front of Lalani’s children.
Through out the function, Lalani could hardly contain himself; he had a permanent smile.
Witnessing the marriage were the Wavammunos, Kampala mayor Nasser Ntege Sebaggala, Maj. Gen. Elly Tumwine and Dr. Kigozi.
