Museveni date<br>Olympics<br>The Uganda Olympic Committee has postponed their preparatory meeting for international boss Jacques Rogge’s visit to Kampala. The organisation’s treasurer Salim Musoke said the meeting was pushed from yesterday to January 3 to ensure that all stakeholders attend.

The Uganda Olympic Committee has postponed their preparatory meeting for international boss Jacques Rogge’s visit to Kampala. The organisation’s treasurer Salim Musoke said the meeting was pushed from yesterday to January 3 to ensure that all stakeholders attend. The sports ministry and NCS are expected to attend. Musoke said they want Rogge to meet President Museveni and sports stakeholders.

Kidega moves
Former SC Villa and Express player Jimmy Kidega who has been in Seychelles playing semi professional football, has joined Rwanda’s Rayon Sport. Kidega left Seychelles because the the country’s laws bar foreigners from repatriating their earning.

FUFA calling
Soccer governing body FUFA will meet today to assess the progress of the Super League. Competitions committee secretary Moses Magogo said security at football grounds, and discipline among the clubs would be discussed and punishments recommended where necessary.

K’la flops
Kampala failed to secure any top two positions out of 27 events that were on offer at the 31st edition of the Lohana sports and cultural festival in nairobi. The events that came to an end on Wednesday saw Nairobi sweep most of the trophies. They won 20 titles including soccer. Kisumu won three and Dar es Salaam two.
