He has done extensive research in African music. The result –– an album Davis Ajuna’s single In Africa We Dance, is packaged in a unique style he calls ngomadinda The latter is a fusion of traditional African and western instruments like xylophones, drums, shakers and bass guitar.
The composition, in Swahili and English, advocates for African unity.
Ngomadinda is a free-style music genre to which people can dance. Ajuna’s project is aimed at assisting upcoming artistes to appreciate their indigenous music. He says Africans should promote their culture.
