Show us their photos!
Sir- I was particularly concerned about reports regarding our FUFA delegates.
‘… it appears the majority of our delegates do not know what they want’. Those were the words of Haji Abbas Kawaase quoted in The New Vision of December 30th 2004. Obviously failing to give Ugandan football the right administration for years and returning a frustrating Denis Obua as FUFA President gives those words tons of truth. It would be nice to know who exactly these delegates are. The New Vision and other media houses would do us the football-loving public a big favour if they published the pictures of each delegate, how they got to their positions, social, academic and business background and visions for grassroots, soccer academy, ladies, club and national football.
Profile these individuals for us so that they can no longer use their anonymity as a veil for their incompetence, bad decision-making and greed when it comes to voting for the leadership and future of football in Uganda. Let them know that Ugandans are watching them now more than ever, because they have consistently failed us. Martin Makara, Ntinda, Kampala.
Bravo to the forum
Sir- As an athletics lover for many years,I believe the reappearance of the Athletics Forum is timely.
There has been massive corruption, inept organisation and malice at the current U.A.F, Faustino Kiwa and Beatrice Ayikoru being accused.
Kiwa was suspended as UAAF general secretary in the late nineties for incompetence and indiscipline by the NCS.
I appreciate the efforts Okello Dixon and David Katana to clean up athletics.
Lirason Okumu Gulu.
