St. Henry’s College Kitovu again had the best five students in Masaka district, who all scored aggregate eight in eight subjects.

The headmaster, Brother Brian Masiko, said he was not surprised by the results.
“I’m not surprised because we knew all the boys were good. We know why we are in school, not to make money but to teach and teach effectively,” Masiko said.

He said Kitovu has been shining over years because it has dedicated and motivated teachers who are ready to work.

Teachers were found celebrating the good results. One of them, John Bosco Ddungu said, “We thank God our boys have done very well again.”

Meanwhile, Steven Chandia reports that Ronald Mbiine, Kitovu’s star student who topped Masaka district received the tidings of his dazzling performance with a blend of excitement and disbelief.

When The New Vision broke the news to him on phone, the 17-year-old boy erupted in joy but could not hide his disbelief.

Mbiine got aggregate eight in eight subjects. He was closely followed by four of his schoolmates.

“Going by my previous class performance, I knew I would perform well but I didn’t think I would top the district,” Mbiine, the son of Dr H. Sabiti of Kayunga Hospital, said.
He said in the mock examinations, he scored aggregate 10 in eight subjects. “I have worked hard and prayed hard,” he said.
