Bob Marley, one of the world’s most cherished freedom activist, spiritual leader, political figure, Jamaican hero and reggae artiste, will be celebrating his 60th anniversary posthumously.

To mark this day, the Rastafarian community in Uganda will host the “Feel the Flow” concert at Steak Out on February 6, Bob Marley’s birthday.

The concert, which is expected to host some of the most prominent reggae artistes in the country will start at 3:00pm with an exposition of reggae regalia, t-shirts and caps, videos and CDs, graffiti and a live documentary of the legend.

For a sh5,000 cover charge at the entrance, all the proceeds of the concert will be remitted to charity.
“We have received overwhelming enthusiasm from Chameleone, Ragga Dee, Bobi Wine and Bebe Cool, Emperor Orlando and Winston Tshaka Mayanja who relate their musical styles to Bob Marley.

They will be joined by Jekachi (budding reggae group), DJ Brown, profound and conscious poets plus the authenticated Ugandan reggae band the Blood brothers. For the stage and sound, a Nairobi-based studio will supplement the concert,” explained Ras B Ssali, organiser.
