KATUMWA Sports Centre, dealers in sports wear and equipment will initially open up branches in five districts this year in a move aimed at enabling people access sports items conveniently, reports Kiganda Ssonko.
The districts include Mbarara, Masaka, Jinja, Arua and Kasese, but more districts would be looked at later.
“After positioning this company stably in Kampala, I’m to open up five bigger centres in other parts of the country to satisfy the increasing demand for the sports equipment. I hope this will be a big boost to our sports industry which still lags behind due to lack of access to necessary garments and items by the sporting population,†the company’s managing director, David Katumwa, said in an interview in Kampala recently.
