KAMPALA — Two women have been charged with affray over fighting for a lover. Juliet Nakagwa, 19 and Jennifer Nakyanzi, 20, both of Sebina zone in Kalerwe appeared before Kampala City Council magistrate Deborah Wanume, who remanded them in Luzira after they denied the charge. Prosecutor Immaculate Nambajju said the suspects fought last December at Ddobi Zone in Kalerwe.

Dad charged
WAKISO — A man has been charged with defiling his eight-year-old daughter. Charles Karooli, 43, of Kyankima village had reportedly been defiling his daughter for eight years before he was arrested. Appearing before Kampala City Council Court, Lwanga was also charged with incest. He was remanded in Luzira until February 14.

HIV award
KUMI — In recognition of her good leadership in HIV/AIDS activities, chief administrative officer Rose Ochom has received an HIV/AIDS certificate. Ochom got the award at the launch of the Kumi Network of Aids Support Organisation at the township Primary School recently.
