Sh500m will be invested in Masindi Hotel in the next three years by Ottoman Engineering, a Turkish company, Mustaq Beghani, the firm’s managing director, has said.

The 82-year-old Masindi Hotel, was formerly owned by Uganda Hotels, a defunct parastatal.

Beghani said during a party recently that the money would be used to refurbish the conference centre, put up a new bakery, shopping centre and swimming pool.
Beghani said they plan to incorporate community development and environmental conservation.

The firm donated a water tank to Masindi Centre for the Handicapped.
