UGANDA Breweries’ (UBL) has been hailed by the global chief executive officer of Diageo, Paul Walsh.

UBL is part of East African Breweries (EABL), which has a partnership with Diageo.

“EABL has big investments across the region. They have paid off and in future, EABL will be one of the most profitable firms in premium drinks in Africa,” Walsh said. He was recently meeting UBL’s managers in Luzira.

“I am very impressed with how UBL has supported major community projects. Your Water of Life projects, Skills for Life initiatives and support for health in terms of The Sickle Cell Association of Uganda are all good,” Walsh said.

UBL’s managing director, Chris Emptage, said UBL was committed to ensuring positive results for all stakeholders.
