THE newly crowned Easter chess champion Moses Kawuma and five other stars have been invited for the HB Global Challenge in the United States.
Action is due May 12-25 and offers the players the maiden chance to compete in that country.
Uganda Chess Federation (UCF) secretary Godfrey Gali said five other players would travel with Moses Kawuma.
“It will be a great experience for them if the trip works out,†Gali said.
The trip will depend on the availability of funds and the six players are looking for money.
The other players invited are Stephen Kawuma, Shaddrack Kantinti, Geoffrey Kanduho, Caxton Kalule and junior champion Walter Okas.
Moses won the Easter title for the first time, taking over from his young brother and fellow Olympian Stephen Kawuma at the weekend.
Fast rising star Moses played for the first time outside Africa at the Olympiad in Spain.
