TRINITY College Nabbingo is looking for sh300m to set up an information and communication technology (ICT) department, the school’s deputy headmistress, Janet Komono, has said.

“We have 50 computers serving 1,027 students. They were installed in a 10square metre room, which is not enough for the students,” Komono said.

She said, “It is only students in senior one and two who are taking computer studies as examinable subjects, but we want all girls to be computer literate,” she said in an interview at her office recently.

Komono said the sh300m would be used to build a larger computer room and purchase more computers.

“We want each classroom to have a computer. We shall construct a computer laboratory to conduct at least two lessons per week,” she said.

Komono said they were also looking for more funds to construct a hostel, upgrade the water and drainage and transport systems.
