RUKUNGIRI — The town council has put aside sh36m to extend the gravity water flow scheme to other areas in the town. Mayor Charles Makuru said the areas to benefit are Kifunjo, Kakonkoma, Kagashe and Nyakibale. He was speaking to journalists last Monday.

KABAROLE — Two people were electrocued when they stepped on live wires at the fort portal-Kasese power line. The dead were Joseph Byaruhanga, 33 and Sylvester Mugisa, 35, both of Busoko village, Karambi sub-county. They stepped on the wires while returning home at night.

BUSHENYI — The resident district commissioner, Sam Tibigwiisa, has changed religion from Anglican to the Oneness religion led by Bishaka Owobushobozi. Tibigwi-isa swore an affidavit at Bushenyi court on Friday, saying he did not want the Anglicans to perform any ceremony over him.
