BELL Lager and Celtel Uganda, the leading sponsors of the Pearl of Africa Music (PAM) awards have promised more funds for the winning musicians to boost local talent.

BELL Lager and Celtel Uganda, the leading sponsors of the Pearl of Africa Music (PAM) awards have promised more funds for the winning musicians to boost local talent.
Speaking at the launch of PAM awards 2005 recently, Cesear Mloka, Celtel’s senior marketing manager said the company was committed to promoting local musicians.
“There are so many people who should be given chance to show their talents. We are committed to supporting such causes. We have increased the amount of money to be won,” Mloka said.
Baker Magunda, the marketing director of Uganda Breweries, said the sponsorship aimed at supporting the communities in which they operate.
Last year, PAM awards, Bell and Celtel contributed over sh15m to different artistes. This year, the artiste of the year will get sh10m, from sh5m last year. Other winning artistes will get sh1m each.
