JOEL Olweny has been named Ugandan captain for the 3-day match against Kenya, replacing Junior Kwebiiha
Kwebiiha has been struggling to shake off a shoulder injury, but was named on the 14-man team for the International Cricket Council (ICC) intercontinental tie at Lugogo starting Friday.
Spin bowler Baig Akbar, pacemen Richard Okia and Patrick Ochan were also dropped by the selectors, and replaced by U-19 players Emmanuel Issanezz, Raymond Otim and Charles Waiswa.
Others on the team are Nehal Bibodi, Kenneth Kamyuka, Benjamin Musoke, Michael Ndiko, Frank Nsubuga, Nandi Kishor and Lawrence Ssematimba. The Kenyans arrive tomorrow.
