The Super 3s league was formed to enable the selection of a better national squad and, three weeks into the process, it is working very well. “Actually the Super 3s has worked better than all our expectations,†national coach Yayiro Kasasa said yesterday. “One thing is that it expanded the pool from which players from the national team is usually selected, and we have already identified some significant new talent.†Among the new talent Kasasa is eyeing are U-19 players Erick Butime, Solomon Mawande and Alfred Karikaho. Meanwhile, Victoria A, made up of players from MTN Heathens, Buffaloes and Saracens, came from behind to hold the Rwenzori team (LG Rhinos, Celtel Pirates, Entebbe Mongers) 7-7 on Saturday. Ends
