KIBULI SS regained lost glory by lifting the Coca-Cola Schools Cup yesterday.

David Matovu and Mohamed Mbaziira struck in either half to deny St. Joseph's College Layibi and give the Kampala side their eighth victory in the competitions after nearly five years out of the reckoning.

Kibuli who eliminated Arua’s Mvara SS in the semi-finals, capitalised on beating offside traps, with Matovu slamming home a rebound on 35th minutes.

Gulu’s Layibi College tried to compose in the midfield later but Mbaziira showed his dazzling skill as he raced past the defence to beat keeper Steven Odong with a powerful left shot.

“It was not an easy victory. It shows how good organisation and talent development pays,” said Kibuli games master Moses Mirundi.
Both teams fielded the youngest outfits.
