THOUSANDS of seventh Day Adventists (SDA) on Saturday thronged Namboole Stadium to welcome their universal leader, Pastor Dr. Jan Paulsen.

The ecstatic congregation waved while chanting ‘Amen’ as Paulsen was driven around the stadium, waving to his spiritual family members.

He inspected a guard of honour mounted by the pathfinders (Jesus’s soldiers). Various SDA-based institutions, groups and companies took part in the march.
Paulsen urged them to avoid involvement in activities that may yield to bloodshed.

He was accompanied by the east and central African division head, Pastor Geoffrey Mbwana, SDA Archbishop John Wani and James Kaggya of central Uganda.
