With no wild hairstyle and other gear much sought after by stars of his age, the 21-year-old Rutta Maximilian Bushoke may pass for anyone, but not a serious musician. However, Bushoke is rocking the music scene with songs based on his life experience.
Bushoke was born in 1983 in Dar-es-Salaam. He completed his studies from Dancer International College in 2000, after which he asked his father for permission to pursue a music career.

“I sang a few songs with my friends from a group called Hexgon in Dodoma. We released an album, Shemeji, but the it flopped. We later got misunderstandings and parted ways,” Bushoke says.

He started recording his songs. Bushoke lives in Dar-es-Salaam with his wife Fatuma.
He is signed on the Smooth Vibes label.

However, Bushoke says he won’t be under the label for long. He is soon releasing a 10-track album called Hunijui.

A great fan of Joe Thomas and Blackstreet, Bushoke advises upcoming artistes to promote love and unity saying this will help them move on to make it big.
