Stanbic does not levy extra charges
SIR — Stanbic Bank does not levy extra fees in case of ATM failure, as Mr David Mushanga complains in his letter of May 13. He says that the bank charges it customers sh2000 when the ATMs are down.

We would like to inform him that for the few times our ATM machines are down, the normal ATM fee is sh400.
Our branches are expected to adhere to this policy but in case Mushanga or any other customer was charged differently, the matter should be reported to their branch and the error will be rectified.
