BUSHENYI local government is to construct a sh1.3b stadium, reports Wilber Muhwezi.
District Tender Board secretary Martaus Ndifuuna said a tender had been awarded to Hassan Basajabalaba’s HABA Group company.
Ndifuuna said this is the first tender to be awarded by the new tender board, which was sworn in recently.
He added the construction of the stadium, with revenue locally raised, will be in two phases and phase one will cost sh900m. The stadium would consist a pavilion and indoor games facilities among others.
