FOURTEEN students from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada, have donated sh175m to SOS Children’s Village in Gulu.

Led by Peter Schiefke and Awel Uwihanganye, they handed over the cheque to the chairman of SOS Children Villages, Karl Wipfler, during a dinner at the Entebbe SOS Village on Tuesday.

The ceremony was presided over by former defence permanent secretary Dr. Ben Mbonye and attended by Canadian consul Don Campbell and SOS directors Angelina Wapakhabulo and Maria Odida.

Mbonye called for accountability and thanked SOS for taking care of orphans.
