Museveni is our choice, leave him alone
SIR — We don’t understand why donors are threatening to cut aid to Uganda. We do not see any problem with President Museveni. <br>
SIR — We don’t understand why donors are threatening to cut aid to Uganda. We do not see any problem with President Museveni.
We elected him and will elect him again if he chooses to stand again next year just like the British elected their prime minister Tony Blair when he stood for a third term. We are sad that the opposition and Ugandans abroad who are very good at telling lies so as to get refugee status, have managed to fool the donors.
We are even sadder that they are prepared to ruin our future because of their own selfish interests. Museveni is the best thing that has ever happened to this country since independence in 1962. Any honest person should recognise that.
Does the international community want to see us go back to the years of Idi Amin or plunge into civil war and chaos like Somalia and the DRC?
