FORMER national champion Moses Lumala’s entry in this weekend’s Jomayi rally has reduced the hopes of several upcoming drivers vying for a maiden career victory.

Ace Riyaz Kurji’s decision to skip the NRC event had presented an opportunity for Ponsiano Lwakataka, Omar Mayanja, Ronald Sebuguzi, Jamil Senyonjo and Abdu Mambo to register their first victory.
The rally will be flagged off on Friday at Constitutional Square.

Cars will head to Garuga for the super special stage and a night leg.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwean Conrad Rautenbach won the Zimbabwe Dunlop Challenge rally on Sunday.

Muna Singh finished fourth while Uganda’s Kurji dropped out in the second leg after his car caught fire.

ARC standings
M. Singh 20 points
R. Himmel 15
R. Kurji 10
C. Rautenbach 10
P.Monge 9
