Why do our leaders watch Ntinda Road deteriorate so?
SIR — Some leaders in Uganda don’t know what Ugandans want and what they ought to do.

I live in ntinda where many of Uganda’s most influential people like the Vice President Gilbert Bukenya, Deputy Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and local government minister Tarsis Kabwegyere also live.
Our own MP, Mr Ruhindi also lives there. But what is amazing is the state of the Ntinda-Bukoto road where these bigwigs pass everyday.
The road badly needs repair but nobody seems to notice. Can’t the big people in government take initiative and have the road repaired?
What is the problem? Is it because they don’t know what they want or are they too comfortable to care? I can excuse Jaberi Bidandi Ssali because when he was MP the road was always in good condition.
Perhaps the condition of the road explains why the Government has decided to buy Land Cruisers for ministers!
