For a long time, UPDF soldiers have been wearing different uniforms from different countries. The move to have the uniforms manufactured locally, Nyakairima said, would tremendously cut military costs. He said the ministry of defence budgeted sh8.7b for uniforms annually. He said each soldier and member of the auxiliary forces would have two sets of uniforms, one camouflage and a plain one.
