for reportedly feeding poorly, students of kaga-mba secondary school in Ntungamo beat their headmistress into coma.
The Police are holding over 50 students as Salome Gasasira fights for her life in Itojo Hospital.
The school has been closed indefinitely by the district authorities.
The Wednesday night incident has landed five girls and 46 boys in Police custody.
Sources said the students rioted because the headmistress was harsh and strict.
The students burnt Gasasira’s property and demolished her house.
Academic transcripts, beddings, clothes, a TV, radio and other items were destroyed.
“The suspects will be produced in court as investigations have been completed,” Police said.
