Arua district councillors, insisting on the censorship of five secretaries, on Monday walked out of the budget presentation meeting, reports Frank Mugabi.
A-third of the councillors had signed a motion to censor secretaries Buga Matata for works and technical services, Idoru Dramuke for finance, Christine Aciferu for health and environment, Cyril Eriku for education and Alimani Azima for production and marketing.
The councillors said they could not approve a budget before censuring the secretaries accused of incompetence.
They walked out of the meeting, accusing the speaker of frustrating the motion.
