DFCU Bank customers countrywide will transact business via 35 ATMs following the bank’s signing onto Bankom’s inter-bank switch, Roscoe Nsubuga, dfcu’s head of marketing, has said.
Nsubuga said this while launching a two-weeks promotion, “Double your Pleasure Promotion” at dfcu’s Acacia Avenue branch in Kampala on Monday.
All customers countrywide who open accounts with dfcu between June 15 and 25 will enter a draw in which the winner will have the money on their account doubled.
“If the client has sh200,000 on the account, dfcu will add sh200,000. Everyone who opens an account during that period will also receive an instant gift,” he said.
The national inter-bank switch was launched last week by the central bank’s governor, Tumusiime Mutebile. The system allows customers of Nile, Orient and dfcu banks use each other’s ATMs.
Bankom is a local electronic financial transaction services provider.
