Sweet Kid's Kankutwale
When Moses Serwadda, aka Sweet Kid, came on stage at his album launch on Saturday at Sabrian's Pub, he was led by four queen dancers.
He opened up with Kankutwale, which sent the crowd into a frenzy. Surprisingly, the album of six tracks has only two popular tracks-Kankutwale and Mama Brenda.
Other artistes at the show included Mega Dee, with his new track Karibu Afande and Triscilla, who joined him to sing Ekyo Sikikulu, which excited the crowd.
Bebe Cool and Angella Katatumba also added flavour to the show when they sang their new track, Sikyeetaga.
They were followed by Grace Nakalema, whose Nsaba Ontondere Omuntu attracted screams from ladies. Michael Ross and Vamposs, together with a highly charged belly-baring queen dancer also performed well.
Bobi Wine and Juliana Kanyomozi almost stole the show with Mama Mbire, while the Obsessions dance group did a mini kimansualo by revealing their underwear, a move that had the crowd on their toes.
The launch raised sh8m through the CD auction.

Akandwanaho, Walker Kabira School stars
"This evening is in fact Kabira's sporting Oscars. However, unlike the Oscars, the winners won't be expected to make speeches," Heather Oliver, Kabira International School's head of physical education, said on Friday as the school recognised its sports personalities.
Over 65 pupils were nominated for the awards in sports activities like swimming, basketball, hockey, water polo, cricket, tennis and football.
Fourteen-year-old Alex Akandwanaho, Salim Saleh's son, scooped three awards while 11-year-old Liam Walker, son of Kyadondo Rugby club captain Ian Walker, took home six awards and three trophies.
Ugandan Rugby international star Peter Magana and Helen Buteme, pioneer of full contact Rugby for women in Uganda, gave out the awards.
The day ended with Nick Trataris walking home as senior sportsman of the year and Daena Grendon as senior sportswoman of the year while the swimming squad was team of the year.
Over the year, Kabira International School has participated in various sporting events, putting on impressive performances.
Over 127 pupils represented the school in different sporting competitions against other schools this year.
Hip-hop music on the rise
Last weekend's hip-hop concert at Lugogo Rugby Club was a talent-searching event. Having injected millions of shillings in training and producing most of Uganda's raw cream, compliments go to utl, Uganda Breweries, PCY, GTZ and Alliance Francaise. The concert was nothing short of a musical extravaganza on East African TV.
True to the hip-hop culture, the teens were represented massively in terms of attitude, attire (big T-shirts, bandanas, caps and big jeans), accents and vibrancy. Although most of them mimed to their favourite rap artistes, like 50Cent, Jay Z and Eminem, their efforts were not thrilling, both in lyrical content and delivery. The opening acts comprised of literally anyone who had the courage to get on stage and perform.
At the concert, doubled as "a break dance showdown", the actual feel of Uganda's hip-hop era was eloquently represented by Krazy Native of Bataka Underground, Lyrical G, Morris Kirya, Saint CA, Smokie, Michael Ross and Tanzania's Rah P. With her little fame in Tanzania, it was surprising to see Uganda's youngsters singing to her songs and dancing to her beats.
J Lo engaged a year after marriage
For her first wedding anniversary, Jennifer Lopez received an 8.5 carat engagement ring worth about $1m from hubby Marc Anthony, according an upcoming issue of In Touch weekly. What is more, notes the report, Anthony formally proposed to his wife.
"It sounds a little odd, but Marc and Jennifer were never really engaged - they just got married. So, to mark their first anniversary, Marc officially proposed, this time presenting Jennifer with an engagement ring," reports In Touch, adding that Jennifer was very excited to get it! However, when contacted about the peculiar story, Lopez's spokeswoman said she "does not have any idea about this."
On top of the world
The British Airways London Eye has been named the world's top tourist attraction. The observation wheel was voted by 2,000 people who responded to the Ultimate Destinations survey.
They put the Eye ahead of Sydney Opera House, the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty and the Leaning Tower of Pisa as the one attraction they would most like to see out of 11 international sites.
Elliott Frisby, spokesman for VisitBritain, said: "We are known for our history, but the Eye is a modern monument."
