Where have the Yumbe Imams been all this time?

SIR — I was amused by the Yumbe imams when they declared that they are tired of the politics of changing leaders. I wonder where they have been all these years.

Milton Obote was president for nine years from independence before he was overthrown by Idi Amin. Amin was president for eight years before he too was thrown out. Lule and Binaisa were overthrown within two years.
No civilians participated in changing these leaders. So when did the Imams participate in changing the leaders? President Museveni has been ruling Uganda for 20 years. That certainly is not a short time!
