The Vice-President, Prof Gilbert Bukenya, has launched East African Breweries’ (EABL) charity foundation, writes Vision Reporter.
The foundation aims at enriching the lives of over 500,000 people throughout Africa by 2010.
Uganda Breweries’ (UBL) chairman, Dr Martin Aliker, said at Sheraton Kampala Hotel that the company had set marketing and innovation standards.
“Last month, our market capitalisation reached $1b on the Nairobi Stock Exchange. EABL is the first firm in the region to reach this value,’’ he said.
