Angry couple roughs up scribes
A brawl involving scribes and security personnel ensued when an angry couple assaulted Daily Monitor photographer Bruno Birakwate. Bruno had just snapped a couple kissing under pylons. The wild couple pounced on him and grabbed his camera (left).
The intervention of Saracen Guards and Juma Seiko saved him, but he sustained injuries and a torn shirt. The scuffle that lasted 30 minutes, scared VIP guests and attracted the attention of other scribes.

Nude phone dealer runs amok on stage
As it emerges, the nude man who stormed the stage stark naked as BLU*3 performed at the Ekiggunda K'omwaka was not a stalker nor was he mentally deranged. He was trying to win a bet. The man, Kizimula, a phone trader on Luwum Street, apparently had betted with fellow phone dealers, that he could walk on stage naked, grab any of the Blu*3 girls and simulate a sexual act on stage, all for sh500,000. Powered by weed, Kizimula undressed, beat security and stormed the stage naked. He missed grabbing Cindy's (one of the BLU*3 girls) breasts by a whisker and was arrested by bouncers and taken into police custody.

Lukyamuzi's sh1,000 tip
Rubaga South MP Ken Lukyamuzi turned blue with embarrassment at the MTN Radio Simba's Ekkigunda on Sunday.
Apparently, Lukyamuzi's entry coincided with Bebe Cool's performance on the stage. Cool, probably seeing a chance to make a quick buck, left the stage and waded through the sea of human traffic to the VIP tent.
He sampled the song Awete for Lukyamuzi, demanding pay, but Lukyamuzi seemed to have none on him. He inspected all his pockets but only pulled out a tattered sh1,000. When Cool threatened to declare what the MP had paid him, Lukyamuzi, half pleading and sweating profusely, tapped Minister Mike Mukula, who stealthily slid a sh20,000 note to Lukyamuzi. He gave it to Bebe Cool, much to his relief.
