LC3 praises APAC — The LC3 chief of Aboke sub-county has commended Action Line for Development, a Kampala-based NGO, for donating relief items to the people living in Alito camp. Charles Okeng Olet said the camp residents lacked basic items like food, clothes and drugs. He appealed to other NGOs and donors to aid the camp residents.
Schools get GULU — World Vision Uganda Area development Project (ADP) has donated scholastic materials worth sh10m to 10 primary schools in the district. The items, which included school cardigans, bibles and balls for netball and football, were on Wednesday handed over to the benefiting schools by ADP manager Lawrence Otyek. Training on GULU— The International Committee of the Red Cross’s regional surgeon for Africa has joined Gulu Referral Hospital surgeons for a two-week surgical camp operation. The Nairobi-based Dr. Valery Sasin arrived at the hospital on Monday.
