SIRAJI Mohamed who opened an account with dfcu Bank Arua had his account balance doubled to sh0.8m in the Double your pleasure Promotion that started last month.
Seven other people from various branches won sh100,000 each.
“Mohamed opened an account with our branch in Arua and the money on his account by July 9 was sh0.4m but we have doubled it to sh0.8m,†Roscoe Nsubuga, dfcu’s head of marketing and wholesale banking, said.
This was during the second draw at dfcu’s Kampala City Council branch recently. Since the promotion started, over 2,000 new accounts have been opened.
