You can lower the amount of bad cholesterol from your blood by eating healthy foods:
  • Cut back on animal fat and all fats that are solid at room temperature including margarine.
  • On your diet include plenty of dark green leafy and yellow vegetables.
  • Eat plenty of fruits that are in season and are available in your area.
  • Avoid organ meat such as liver, brain and kidney. Trim all visible fat from meat and remove chicken skin before cooking.
  • Eat fewer egg yolks; instead substitute two egg whites for each whole egg.
  • Avoid mayonnaise and salad dressings or buy low fat versions of these products.
  • Drink low-fat milk, yoghurt, low-fat cottage cheese or other low-fat cheese.
  • Use (sunflower, corn, olive) oils or any other oil that is liquid at room temperature.
  • Avoid coconut and palm oils, also avoid commercially prepared foods that contain such oils (read food labels).
  • Use low fat cooking techniques such as boiling, roasting or grilling. Use all cooking oils sparingly.
All done and said, if you are experiencing erectile difficulties, the first step is to consult a doctor. Ask for an evaluation for diabetes, cholesterol levels, high blood pressure and for the condition of your heart and blood vessels. Also have your sex hormones evaluated. Erectile difficulties could be a sign of any of the mentioned problems.
