Hand in Hand on Internet

Production on Hand in Hand, Uganda’s biggest local TV soap opera has been ongoing since June 29, 2005 with siren Nancy Kalembe, Ensitano’s Patrick Mujuuka and Patrick Birungi all in leading roles at their set in Industrial Area. I’m ably informed that the first episode was pre-tested yesterday at Hotel Africana. Hand in Hand, which is funded to the tune of Euro 250,000 by the German Development Bank, GTZ and the Ministry of Education and Sports now boasts of an interactive website http://www.handinhand.or.ug, where adoring fans will be able to directly chat with the small screen stars when the soap premieres on WBS TV in October 2005. The edutainment show will be aired every Sunday at 8.00pm. Now we hear uganda telecom, Nile Breweries, Dark and Lovely, Rwenzori Mineral Water and Coca Cola are falling over themselves to be associated wih the show.
