By Frank Mugabi The Rotary Club of Arua has commissioned a water system in Arua municipality’s most densely-populated slum. Area councillor Abdu Bakit said over 1,500 people in upper Bibia quarters, Pangisa ward in Oli division had been depending on a stream with run-off water from Arua Hospital. Bibia is mainly occupied by unemployed people, including child-headed homes. The club’s out-going president, Stanley Adrabo, commissioned the taps on Sunday. He said the club and the National Water and Sewerage Corporation jointly funded the over sh2m project. Ends
