MOSES Kipsiro’s manager opted to have him in a more fast KBC night of Athletics meet set for today in Belgium, as he tries his last luck in qualifying for the World Athletics Championships.

Kipsiro has to shave off 11 microseconds from his personal best of 13:28.11 to be included on the national team for the world championship set for Helsinki, Finland, August 6-16.

He however only has today’s race to hit the mark of 13:28.0 as the qualifying period for the world meet ends tomorrow.

“I have called his manager and he has clarified that he will not be running in London as earlier said. He will be running in the KBC night of athletics tomorrow (today), clarified local athletics federation secretary Beatrice Ayikoru.

If Kipsiro qualifies, he will bring the number of athletes that have qualified for the world event to six after Boniface Kiprop (10000m), Wilson Busienei (5000 and 10000m), Dorcus Inzikuru (3000mSC), Alex Malinga (marathon) and Paskar Owor (800m).
