KAYUNGA — Religious leaders should include poverty alleviation campaigns in their sermons to help their followers eradicate poverty. The advice was contained in the Vice- President’s speech read by the disabilities state minister, Florence Ssekabira, during a fundraising for the renovation of 52 mosques in Bbaale sub-county.

MASAKA — The Christian Foundation for the Children and Aging has constructed 25 residential houses in Kyannamu-kaaka and Lwankoni sub-counties. The project secretary, Passy Nabulya said on Saturday that $10,000 was sent by the donors to help areas which were hit by a heavy storm early this year. Over 400 households were destroyed by the storm in which people were killed and property destroyed.
