THE Government has secured money to pay salary arrears for the Teso-based Arrow group and other auxiliary forces that fought alongside the UPDF to rout Lord’s Resistance Army rebels.

The Vice-President, Prof. Gilbert Bukenya, said on Sunday the whole force would soon be paid their five-month salary arrears.

Bukenya, on a referendum campaign tour of Kaberamaido district, said the government had also budgeted sh4b to pay the force.

“Now that we have the money, the payment of salaries for the Arrow group, Amuka (Rhino) defence forces and other auxiliary forces will be made on a monthly basis,” Bukenya said.

He was answering concerns by Kaberamaido leaders over the case.
