CRANE Bank has injected $0.5m (sh900m) in new software aimed enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of services.

CRANE Bank has injected $0.5m (sh900m) in new software aimed enhancing efficiency and effectiveness of services.

A.R. Kalan, the deputy managing director, said in an interview on Thursday in Kampala that the Bank Master Plus software, will replace the Micro-Bank software in October.
He said the new software had modern features.

“It’s a flexible open platform, which will allow us to double up our banking services according to our customers’ needs,” Kalan said.

He said the software is user-friendly and will enable the bank accommodate any future changes in the future such as the introduction of new products like e-banking.

“Once the software is on, the Automated Teller Machines will be on for 24-hours.
“Our customers should expect the best services,” Kalan said.

He said the system would help the bank to achieve banking-insight, a three-pronged process which addresses customers, operations and risks.

“There is going to be a high degree of automation for speed and accuracy, extensive customer and account enquiries, signature and image verification. It will reduce on error and time wastage,” he said.

Crane Bank boosts of the highest number of ATM network in 32 locations in Kampala.

The bank is a subsidiary of the Ruparelia Group of Companies owned by city tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia.
