Save for Mr. Liberty who did the Bakisimba jig while limping on his trademark stilettos, all the other group members were off beat most of the time. They did receive applause for their early performances, but when they failed to improve on their act, with time, the audience ignored them for God-knows-what conversations.
With an audience now ready for any form of consolation, Bebe Cool saved the day.
Though he was awkward at the Kiganda dance, his weird moves at least still brought fun into the theatre. If Nile Beat is to continue with these mediocre performances, the highly billed cultural extravaganza that is set to transverse 32 districts may not come to what it should be.
