JUSTINE Ligyalingi, manager for the national U-19 team is confident his boys will put up a respectable show in the qualifiers for the U-19 World Cup.
A squad of 14 players and three officials leave today for the regional World Cup qualifiers slated for Johannesburg August 20-26.
Uganda, grouped with Tanzania, Fiji and Namibia will have one week of acclimatisation in Johannesburg against Namibia and other two select sides this week.
“The boys are in the right mood and I have the confidence they will perform well,” Ligyalingi said.
The U-19 World Cup will be held in Sri Lanka next year. The top two teams in South Africa will make the trip.
Meanwhile Raymond Otim knocked 53 runs to guide Tornado B to a 39-run victory over Wanderers in a Castle Lager League tie at Kyambogo yesterday.
